After gaining all round production experience with two London-based production companies, Ben Hughes went freelance in 1988 and has worked as production manager, first assistant director and producer.

He has worked all over the world, from the Himalayas to the Rocky Mountains on Feature Films, documentaries, TV Dramas, Commercials and music promos. He has worked with ‘A’ list actors, animals, children, explosives, planes and trains.
Ben founded Apis Films in 1999 as a service company that produces commercials and corporate films as well as developing original projects. He is a member of BAFTA, RTS, PGGB and ADG
