Oracle FX is run by Emmy nominated makeup artist Max Payn and Thea Mulvey who together have nearly 30 years experience making special effects for the Film and Television industry. After both Graduating from UAL universities, Thea and Max went on to become established freelancers and began work at Animated Extras where they had the opportunity to work on many productions such as Outlander, Silent Witness, Pistol (Danny Boyle), The King's Man and MIB International. Since then, they have not only worked on productions such as Universal Studios' Jurassic World Dominion (John Nolan studios), Carnival Row 2 (Nick Dudman) and Captain Marvel (for David White) but also pursued their own short film. Doing this has given them a better understanding of the full film-making process and allowed them to be economical when needed without compromising on quality. From prosthetic makeup effects and body stand-ins to aliens from other worlds and creatures that lurk in the deep, they have worked on hundreds of productions over the years and are passionate about creating believable characters and strive for hyper realism in everything they do.
